Director General of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Ibrahim Naeem: According to Naeem, government faces delays in recovering the money from fines owing to lack of funds and resources of EPA.
Ibrahim Naeem, who served as the Director General of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for 14 years, has resigned from the agency following its integration into government oversight.
The EPA, formerly an independent body, was renamed the Environmental Regulatory Authority (ERA) in August of this year.
Prior to the EPA's transformation into the ERA, a Director General was appointed to lead the agency. Naeem had held this position for the past 14 years.
With the EPA's transition to an authority, the management structure also underwent changes. The highest position within the authority is now that of Chief Administrator, a role established within the civil service.
