Minister of Language, Culture and Heritage, Adam Naseer Ibrahim, has articulated the government's intent to investigate creative and innovative methodologies for heritage representation globally, with a view to implementing such strategies within the Maldives.
The Minister commenced his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday, where he is serving as the Guest of Honour at a forum dedicated to the exposition of diverse global cultures.
The Minister's attendance marks the 25th silver jubilee of the Sharjah International Narrator's Forum, an event orchestrated by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage in the UAE. The forum's proceedings are scheduled to span from Monday to Friday.
During the forum session held on Monday morning, the Minister delivered a presentation elucidating the intricate relationship between the Dhivehi script and the Arabic script.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the Minister's delegation included national history expert ‘Kashima’ Ahmed Shakir and the distinguished nationalist scholar Isha Abdul Azeez.
