Woman hit by motorbike while crossing road on zebra cross at Kadhdhoo dies

A person injured in an accident in L. Kadhdhoo on Friday night has died as a result of the injuries.

Maldives Police Service said they received a report at approximately 19:18pm tonight after two people crossing the road to go to Kadhdhoo airport were hit by a motorbike traveling from Fonadhoo to Gan.

It was detailed that two women crossing the road on the zebra cross and two people on the motorbike that hit them were injured in the accident and transferred to the hospital for treatment.

The 64-year-old woman injured in the accident died while receiving treatment for her injuries at Gan Regional Hospital.

The Police did not disclose the details of the injuries sustained by the deceased nor any details regarding the two who were on the motorbike.

Laamu Link Road has recently seen a wave of dangerous accidents. In this regard, a woman injured in an accident in Gan on July 6^th passed away on Thursday while being treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
