Fireworks in Hulhumale’ for the third consecutive night

Fireworks are set to light up the skies in Hulhumale’ again on Sunday, for the third consecutive night.

The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has announced that a fireworks show will take place at the Ruhgandu area in Hulhumale’ Phase II – starting at 09:45 pm and lasting around three minutes.

The latest fireworks show comes after brilliant lights lit up the skies above the Hulhumale’ ferry terminal area on Friday, to mark the start of the Maldives Expo 2025. It attracted hundreds of spectators who flocked to the suburb to view the display. A second fireworks show took place in the Farukolhufushi area on Saturday to celebrate SanguTV’s 10th anniversary.

The fireworks show on Sunday is to celebrate Liverpool FC winning the English Premier League. Organized by the official LFC supporters club of Maldives, the fireworks will take place after Liverpool vs Crystal Palace fixture, which will mark the club’s final league game of the season.

The celebrations will not end with fireworks, but also includes additional entertainment activities such as boduberu.

Liverpool signed a partnership agreement with the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), making it the club’s official tourist destination partner.

MMPRC encourages all football lovers, not just Liverpoo supporters, to go and join Saturday’s celebrations.
