Bank of Maldives (BML), on Tuesday, acknowledged an issue that saw money deducted from some accounts twice, states the issue has now been resolved.
Many BML customers had taken to social media to complain regarding double deductions from their accounts for some transactions. Customers also raised concerns regarding some transactions appearing as pending transactions and reduced balance on their accounts.
BML responded to one such customer complaint on X, starting some settled transactions are appearing as pending transactions due to which the account balance is affected. However, the bank assured that the transactions would be reversed at the earliest.
Sun was unsuccessful in its efforts to obtain a direct comment from BML.
