Water disruption at Hiyaa towers resolved

State water company, Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) states the water supply disruption at Hiyaa towers in Hulhumale’ Phase II has now been resolved.

Water supply to some Hiyaa towers was cutoff last night. In a message to the residents of housing units last night, Housing Development Corporation (HDC) attributed the disruption to a technical issue with booster pumps installed to supply water to units.

The corporation apologized for the difficulties Hiyaa residents faced due to the incident.

Notably, water supply to some Hiyaa towers was also cut off Friday evening due to a water pipe burst. The issue was swiftly resolved.

Moreover, electricity was cut off to Hulhuamele’ Phase I last night. State Electric Company (STELCO), without providing any further details, said the issue has now been resolved.
