Shaheem delivers address at a conference on education of girls

Islamic Minister Dr. Shaheem Ali Saeed, at the invitation of Muslim World League (MWL) has participated in a conference on education of girls in the Islamic religion and delivered the keynote address.

Speaking at the conference held in Pakistan, Shaheem said the Islamic religion promotes the education of both women and men. He said Islam views education as the foundation of human life, adding that the religion not only taught men but also ensured women were educated individuals.

As an example, he detailed that Aisha (RA) as an example of an educated individual. Moreover, he noted that Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) had allocated time from his life specifically to educate women.

He also acknowledged and extended gratitude to MWL, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and other muslim nations for their efforts in promoting education.

Minister Shaheem is a member of MWL’s Supreme Council.
