Aasandha requests to report difficulties in getting medicine under the scheme

Aasandha Company has requested to report any difficulties faced in getting medicine under the health insurance scheme.

The company has requested to file complaints via Viber if faced with any instances where an individual has to settle the payment for a medicine or if a medicine is not available under Aasandha when taking medications under the health insurance scheme.

The company requested to submit a copy of the prescription and receipt when filing complaints.

Concerns emerged after some medications were unavailable through the Aasandha health insurance scheme following the company's price revisions.

The current administration is undertaking efforts to reform Aasandha scheme which has long remained as a financial burden to the state. Aasandha incurs higher funds every year than the amount allocated for the purpose in the state budget.

As such, the government has implemented price control on 250 medicines issued under Aasandha that was previously sold at a huge profit by businesses.
