Another accident took place on Monday evening on Sinamale’ Bridge involving a car and a motorbike.
Maldives Police Service confirmed the accident occurred near the end of the bridge on the side designated for traveling from Male’ to Hulhumale’. The motorbike which was headed for Hulhumale’ collided with the car that made a turn towards Hulhule’ resulting in the collision.
Police were active on the site of the accident, but later reported that there were no serious injuries.
On Sunday evening, five individuals sustained injuries after three motorbikes traveling across the bridge highway from Male’ to Hulhumale’ collided. Four out of the five injured were discharged after treatment while the other was receiving treatment at Tree Top Hospital.
Many locals are traveling to Male’ area ahead of the new year due to which traffic congestion has become even more severe, with subsequent increment of travels between Male’ and Hulhumale’ across the bridge.
