Police demands owners reclaim 21 impounded vehicles under 60 days

Maldives Police Service has demanded owners of multiple impounded vehicles to claim them within 60 days.

In an announcement, police urged the owners of a total of 21 of these vehicles to claim and take them within the duration, and added that they would be destroyed as per regulation if the vehicles were not collected within the 60-day period.

The vehicles include eight motorbikes and 13 cars. Police disclosed details related to these vehicles, including where they were towed and the identity of the registered individuals.

Police generally destroys such impounded vehicles after a set period if their owners fail to collect them within the provided window for reclamation.

The authority usually tows and impounds vehicles that are either left idle for extended periods or for illegal parking.
