CEOs of MTCC and Island Aviation dismissed

The CEOs of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) and Island Aviation have been dismissed.

Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced the dismissal of Mohamed Ziyadh, who had been serving as MTCC's CEO, and Mohamed Mihadh, who had been serving as Island Aviation's CEO via a post on X.

However, the reason behind their dismissal has not been disclosed.

Ziyadh is replaced by Ahmed Saudhy as the new CEO of MTCC. Saudhy has previously served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police and a Deputy Minister at the Youth Ministry.

Ziyadh was appointed MTCC’s CEO on November 28, 2023.

PCB, in their announcement, also revealed the appointment of three board members to the Development Bank of Maldives.
