Housing Development Corporation (HDC) on Monday announced it is seeking developers for the operation of food trucks in Hulhumale'.
HDC has invited all interested proponents to submit expression of interest (EOI) letters, which the corporation said aims to provide an equal opportunity for all interested parties.
The preferred business model, HDC added, for the food truck operation is a fixed fee model. HDC however, added that proponents may choose to submit any other business model of the developer's preference.
"Regardless of the model proposed, the benefits of both parties should be clearly stated," HDC said, requiring proponents to provide clear details on the proposed business model.
If the project attracts more than one proposal, HDC would select the EOI that best suits the corporation's vision, strategic objectives and masterplan.
EOI will be evaluated based on the proposed business model, experience of the operator and developer/contractor, proposed team, financial stability, capability, CSR and concept design of truck.
HDC further said it reserves the right to either accept or reject any proposal, or annul the entire process at any given time before the framework agreement is signed, which it added would not incur liability on the part of the corporation.
In the case of an annulment, HDC will inform all proponents with the proposals returned to them.
Proponents must complete the proposal document according to the guidelines set in the "Expression of Interest (EOI) Application Form" - which is available from HDC.
All interested proponents have been encouraged to submit EOI via email or to the HDC's headquarters before 14:00hrs on August 6, 2024.
