Police looks for expat suspected in Hulhumale' Phase II liquor bust case

Maldives Police Service has begun looking for an expatriate for their suspected involvement a liquor bust case from Hulhumale’ earlier.

Police announced it is searching for a 23-year-old Bangladeshi expatriate named Tapjol Miah.

The authority said they were looking for the man in relation to multiple cases of liquor discovered from a parked car in Hulhumale’ Phase II. Earlier on July 18th, police discovered six cases suspected alcohol, inside a parked car from a vacant plot near Vinares Flat 2, in Hulhumale’ Phase II.

Police requested public support and to contact the Hulhumale’ Phase II Police Station at 9393351 or police hotline at 3322111 if anyone has information on the suspect.

Earlier on July 17th, police had arrested another individual from Hulhumale’ Phase I on a similar liquor peddling case as well.
