Two people were injured during a violent altercation in Addu City’s Maradhoo district last night.
Police said the altercation was reported to the authority at approximately 10:30pm last night.
Although it was confirmed that two people were injured during their altercation, Police disclosed no further details regarding the extent of their injuries.
However, they noted that both victims were discharged home last night, following treatment.
The case is under further investigation by the Police.
As per statistics disclosed by the Police, a total of 313 cases of physical violence have been reported to the authorities so far this year.
One of the highest priorities under the Police’s new strategic action plan is to eliminate gang crimes as per Home Minister Ali Ihusan.
