Shifan, Shareef appointed Assistant Commissioner of Police

Chief Superintendent of Police Ahmed Shifan (L) and Chief Superintendent of Police Abdulla Shareef (R) appointed Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

Chief Superintendent of Police Ahmed Shifan who serves as a spokesperson for Maldives Police Service and Chief Superintendent of Police Abdulla Shareef who serves as the Head of Central Policing Command have been appointed Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

Police Media told Sun that both officers have now assumed their posts.

Shifan, who was promoted ACP, has served as the Head of National College of Policing and Law Enforcement and Head of Male’ City Police.

He had also served as the Police Spokesperson during former president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom’s administration. He was reappointed to the post after the new administration took office last year.

Shareef is the Head of Central Policing and Head of Male’ Area’s Frontline Policing. He has served in senior posts in various departments.
