Bank of Maldives (BML) on Friday, celebrated its outstanding employees its outstanding employees at the Annual Staff Awards held at Crossroads Maldives.
BML's CEO and Managing Director Karl Stumke, members of the Board of Directors and management presented the awards.
The bank's Customer Service Manager Mohamed Shaig Ahmed was this year's recipient of the Employee of the Year Award.
Naifaru Branch of the bank won the CEO's Award for Oustanding Achievement, while Head of Business and SME Banking Ali Farish Khaleel received the Best Leader Award.
Azan Rasheed, from the Terminal Management Unit won the Best Manager Award.
Besides this, awards for staff and teams who excelled over the past year were presented with awards, including Best Atoll Branch, Best Atoll Employee, Best Team, Customer Service Star and Award for Innovation.
Speaking at the event, Karl said, "We are proud of the team we have built here at the Bank who continue to show their commitment and excellence year after year. Many congratulations to the staff who received awards tonight, your exemplary performance leads the Bank towards success."
He also highlighted the bank's record performance in 2023, making it the first time the bank crossed MVR 2 billion profit mark.
"This was possible with your hard work and contribution and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you," Karl added.
