After it was reported by Fenaka Corporation that Kulhudhuffushi City's power outage on Monday was resolved by evening, the city has once again experienced a power cut on Tuesday.
A local of the city speaking with 'Sun' said electricity was cut from Kulhudhuffushi some time around 09:45hrs on Tuesday morning, after which power resumed shortly after.
The individual also highlighted Fenaka Corporation had informed Kulhudhuffushi City public of hours when electricity would be cut.
Fenaka Corporation will reportedly cut power for one hour, the local added. The utility provider had further notified that Kulhudhuffushi may face city-wide blackouts if the electricity load increases.
The utility company has not been available for an official statement on the matter.
The control modules of three generators out of the seven installed in Kulhudhuffushi City fried on Monday owing to a transformer malfunction, due to which it experienced power cuts across the city.
To resolve the power interruption, State Electric Company (STELCO) dispatched one of its expert technical teams to assist Fenaka Corporation on Monday.
Fenaka Corporation on Monday evening confirmed power was resumed for the city after it resolve the faulty electrical gear with STELCO team's assistance.
