Soneva Secret opens in Haa Dhaalu atoll

Leading sustainable luxury resort operator, Soneva, has unveiled its new ultra-bespoke property Soneva Secret.

The new property is designed to "meld into the pristine environment, blurring the line between indoors and out," said Signature Luxury Travel and Style.

The high-end private getaway offers accommodation from a total of just 14 villas that come in six different types. The most notable of these are the Crusoe Villas and Castaway Villas, designed to exist peacefully within the unspoilt natural context.

The villas provide direct access to the white sandy beaches and crystalline waters, while ensuring maximum privacy.

Moreover, the villas come with their own dedicated 'barefoot guardian' and 'barefoot assistant' along with a private chef to craft bespoke menus and unique culinary journeys.

The property features multiple dining experiences, which include 'Out of This World', the castaway dining tower, observatory and wine cellar in the lagoon - reachable by a zipline; 'So Primitive', which is a toes-in-the-sand firepit dining experience; and 'The Living Room' which serves as an island hub and casual eatery where guests will find a library, the boutique, and Soneva's renowned ice cream, chocolate, cheese and charcuterie rooms.

Soneva Secret also features an on-site garden of herbs and vegetables used by the culinary team.

The new elite private getaway is reachable via a scenic 75-minute seaplane trip directly from Velana International Airport (VIA); a 40-minute seaplane flight from Soneva Fushi in Baa Atoll; a 30-minute seaplane flight from Soneva Jani in Noony atoll; or a leisurely full-day cruise from Soneva Fushi onboard Soneva in Aqua.

Guests can also fly directly into Kulhudhuffushi Airport in Haa Dhaal and then take a one-hour scenic speedboat ride to the resort.
