Fenaka Corporation has decided to extend a 50% on all electricity bills for April in Kulhudhuffushi, after the city faced constant power cuts in Ramadan.
In a press statement, Fenaka said the city had faced significant hindrances in receiving electricity throughout Ramadan, and affirmed it was working to procure an additional generator set to ensure uninterrupted power.
"We wish to extend our sincere apologies to the Kulhudhuffushi City public for experiencing constant power cuts during Ramadan this year," the statement read.
As compensation for the grievances Kulhudhuffushi City public faced, Fenaka said it decided to slice the electricity charges billed in April.
The corporation further said it was working alongside the government to provide solutions to multiple powerhouses across the country owing to gross negligence in the last five years.
Earlier, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu highlighted several powerhouses in the country were in rundown condition requiring immediate upgrades.
