Police tows 40 vehicles in one night

Maldives Police Service said the authority towed 40 illegally parked vehicles on Wednesday evening alone.

After the current administration, led by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, promised authorities will not fine vehicles without providing ample parking spaces, illegal parking surged exponentially across Male' City.

Due to the alarming rise in illegal vehicle parking, increasing the number of public complaints, police announced it will begin towing illegally parked vehicles from March 03rd onward, and officially began the efforts on March 05th.

Police on Wednesday confirmed it had towed 40 of these illegally parked vehicles including 15 from Ameenee Magu.
