Hotline for ambulance service disrupted over issue

The national hotline for ambulance service, 100, has been disrupted over an issue.

Health Ministry, in a post on X, said the hotline has been temporarily disconnected following an issue, which they did not delve into the details of. 

The Ministry stressed that efforts were underway to resolve the issue at the earliest.

The Ministry has apologized for any inconveniences the public may face in the meantime and has urged to directly contact the emergency numbers of hospitals to attain ambulance service.

The national ambulance service was launched in greater Male’ area in October of last year.

According to the Health Ministry, the main purpose of the ambulance service is to speed up medical intervention in cases of accidents and other medical emergencies, and provide live-saving treatment until patients can be taken to medical facilities.
