Maldives Police Service has made a public announcement seeking assistance to locate Ibrahim Rasheed, 46, Gaakureli, GDh. Thinadhoo, who previously served as magistrate at the island’s court.
Police, in their announcement, said they are seeking to present Ibrahim Rasheed before the Criminal Court next Wednesday, in their custody, in compliance with the order issued by the court.
Ibrahim Rasheed has a criminal record. He was arrested in 2016, while intoxicated, when he was serving as a magistrate at Thinadhoo court.
He was disbarred for unethical conduct in a separate incident involving verbal harassment of a woman on June 26, 2019.
