Participants head to eight unique Maldivian regions after a successful Storytellers’ Conference

Participants of the Storytellers’ Conference 2023, after a successful conference, have embarked on their journey to eight uniquely enchanting regions of the Maldives.

The Storytellers’ Conference 2023, organized by Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporations (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) was held at Crossroads Maldives on May 30th.

The event brought together esteemed speakers and participants from around the world to celebrate the beauty and allure of storytelling in the Sunny Side of Life.

It was a one-of-a-kind gathering that brought together over 70 content creators, journalists, bloggers, and industry professionals in an immersive experience to discover and share the wonders of Maldives. 

Throughout the conference, participants indulged themselves in the opportunity to connect with the local culture, explore breathtaking landscapes, and understand how to create compelling narratives that showcase the true essence of a destination.

In this regard, they engaged in a series of insightful panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking sessions led by renowned experts in the field. These sessions explored a variety of topics from sustainable tourism and cultural preservation to the power of storytelling to inspire and promote destinations.

The participants, at the conclusion of the conference, embarked on their journey to eight uniquely enchanting regions of Maldives; Raa Atoll, Laamu Atoll, Ari Atoll, Vaavu Atoll, Haa Alifu and Haa Dhaalu Atolls, Kaafu Atoll, Addu Atoll, and Fuvahmulah. The journey, which is a part of the exclusive conference, will allow the participants to explore the natural wonders and engage in exciting activities for three days in creating unforgettable stories to share with the world.

MMPRC’s CEO, Managing Director Thoyyib Mohamed, commenting on the success of the conference, expressed excitement to see the captivating stories, photos, and videos that will be shared to the world by the participants.

“This event has been a remarkable platform for travel enthusiasts and industry professionals to come together and immerse themselves in the extraordinary beauty of the Maldives,” he added.

MMPRC states that the Storytellers’ Conference 2023 marks a significant milestone in promoting Maldives as a top-tier tourist destination by leveraging the power of storytelling.

“One of the major aims of the conference is to position the country beyond the traditional sun, sand, and sea while increasing awareness of our MICE and sustainable tourism segments among influencers, bloggers, and travel writers,” they said.
