Increased cases of four diseases including flu and diarrhea reported last month

Statistics by Health Protection Agency (HPA) show that increased cases of four diseases were reported In February.

The four diseases increased cases have been reported are flu, diarrhea, conjunctivitis and chicken pox.

In this regard, 30,628 cases of flu were reported in February, climbing higher than the 29,307 cases in January. Meanwhile, diarrhea cases reported in February was 4,357, a much higher number than the 3,502 in January.

Although some diseases reported have increased in February – the number of risky diseases reported in the month had decreased. In this regard, while 198 dengue cases were reported in January, the number was lower in February at 145.

Nevertheless, HPA emphasized on the importance of taking precautionary measures against such diseases.
