Economic Ministry to resume Xpat System's services on Sunday

Economic Ministry states that its Xpat System, utilized for management of all matters related to expatriate workers in the Maldives, that has been presently downed for maintenance will go back online on Sunday, resuming all services provided through the portal.

In a statement released regarding the matter, Economic Ministry said that while the Expat System goes back online on Sunday, employers bringing in expatriate workers to the Maldives will now be able to pay the quota fee, which is MVR 2,000 per year, through the portal.

The Ministry states that the new updates to the portal will not only allow employers to pay the quota fee through the portal, but also ease the quota process for employers.

Xpat System was downed for maintenance on February 26th for the purpose of streamlining the services provided through the portal in addition to integrating new functions.
