President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres.
This meeting was held on Saturday at Doha, the capital city of Qatar, as part of official trips President Solih is making to three countries.
President Solih touched on the role and support of the UN and its various agencies in the developmental projects being carried out in the Maldives.

Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid and Planning Minister Mohamed Aslam accompanied President Solih during this meeting.
President Solih will visit Serbia and Germany on this trip.
He will also participate in the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries, after which he will visit Serbia as there are plans to sign agreements between the governments of the two countries.
The last destination on his trip is Germany, where President Solih will meet the German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, to hold diplomatic meetings between Maldives and Germany.
