VP Faisal returns to Male’ after concluding trip to UAE

Vice President Faisal Naseem, on Thursday, returned to Male’ City after concluding an official visit to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

He undertook the trip at the invitation of Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to partake in the World Government Summit held from February 13th to February 15th.

During the visit, VP Faisal attended the 9th World Government Summit on Monday at the Madinat Jumeirah. He addressed the ‘Future of Work’ forum held as part of the summit during which he called on the international community to better use the available opportunities and resources to achieve the future we want for our citizens.

VP Faisal also launched ‘Maldives Leadership Program’ at the summit – which is part of the UAE's Government Experience Exchange Program (GEEP). The program target Maldives' government employees as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the UAE and the Maldives.

Apart from this, VP Faisal also called on the Emirate of Fujairah Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber during the trip – while UAE's Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, COP28 President-elect, Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Masdar Chairman, and UAE's Special Envoy on Climate Change Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber paid the VP a courtesy call.

VP Faisal was accompanied by a high-level delegation of government officials on this trip.
