Elderly man reported missing from Mathiveri

A search operation has been launched to find an elderly man reported missing from AA. Mathiveri.

Mathiveri Council’s vice president Ali Nafiz identified the missing man to Sun as Hassan Ali (Mathiveree Hassanfulhu), 72, Riveli, AA. Mathiveri.

According to the council, Hassan was last seen just after Magrib prayer on Tuesday.

The residents of the island and the local police began searching for him Wednesday morning. Nafiz said that the search teams are searching both land and sea.

“We cannot even take a guess at what happened. We are trying to find him alive,” he said.
