President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will be visiting Addu City on Friday.
He is travelling to the city to attend the special festivities organised by Feydhoo School in celebration of its 50th anniversary. He will also attend the graduation ceremony of the 34th Police Initial Training course.
According to sources, some campaign activities linked to the upcoming Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) primary will also take place during this visit.
Both President Solih and his opponent in the primary former president and current Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed have been touring the islands for their respective campaigns.
Currently, Nasheed is in B. Atoll, touring some of the islands.
The primary is slated for January 28, and its lead-up has proven to be a catalyst for further divisions within MDP.
Over 57,200 people are eligible to vote in the primary.
