VP Faisal returns to Male’ after concluding visit to southernmost cities

Vice President Faisal Naseem concluded an official visit to the southernmost Maldivian cities – Addu and Fuvahmulah – and returned to Male’ City on Monday.

He departed on the trip on Thursday – first stop being Addu City where he he met with the members of the Addu City Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC).

VP Faisal also visited Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH), he met the senior management and staff and inquired about the hospital's operations, inaugurated new services at the healthcare centre on Hulhumeedhoo, and visited other government offices and institutions in Addu City and inspected the progress of ongoing developmental work during his time at Addu City.

At Fuvahmulah City, the Vice President inaugurated the new extension building and new services at Fuvahmulah Hospital and attended the function to mark the 40th anniversary of the Gnaviyani Atoll Education Center and participated in festivities held to mark the occasion.

He also attended a ceremony to hand over new classrooms at the Fuvahmulaku School and inspected the progress of ongoing developmental projects.
