Sammy stars in West Indies' win over Bangladesh

DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) — Captain Darren Sammy smashed an aggressive half-century and then took 3-28 to guide West Indies to a 75-run victory against Bangladesh in the fourth one-day international to level the five-match series at 2-2 on Friday.

Sammy hit five boundaries and two sixes in smashing 60 off 62 balls Friday to steer West Indies to 211-9 after the tourists had lost three wickets for four runs to collapse to 102-6. Darren Bravo hit 34 while Marlon Samuels (27) and Kieran Powell (26) also made starts.

Mahmudullah took 3-46, Elias Sunny grabbed 2-21, and Abdur Razzak chipped in with 2-47.

The hosts made a terrible start, falling to 7-4 before being bundled out for 136 in 34.1 overs at Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Allrounder Mahmudullah top-scored with an unbeaten 56, while captain Mushfiqur Rahim made 27.

Dwayne Smith claimed 2-7, Kemar Roach 2-29 and Veerasammy Permaul 2-35.

The final match will be played Saturday at the same venue.
