President: Will do everything possible to improve Muli Regional Hospital’s services

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Sunday, has assured to do everything possible to improve healthcare services proved at M. Muli Regional Hospital.

He made the statement during a meeting with the community of Muli held at Meemu Atoll Education Centre on Sunday evening.

Ahead of this meeting, President Solih had met with members of the Meemu Atoll Council, Muli Island Council, and Women’s Development Committee. He detailed such meetings offered insight into ways to reprioritize the administration’s plans and projects for the region.

Meanwhile, he said his meetings with the communities allow him to speak directly with the people and discuss their most pertinent needs.

Muli residents, during the meeting, noted that it was the first time a Maldivian president had met with them in such a setting where they could speak and share their concerns. Therewith, they thanked the President for the valuable opportunity.

Concerns raise by the residents during the meeting included the state of the island’s harbour, inconsistencies in the ferry services, airport development, Muli-Naalaafushi causeway, and healthcare and education sector development.

In return, President Solih assures hid administration would seek ways to address their concerns, including resolving the ferry service and mproving healthcare services at the Muli Regional Hospital. He also revealed that the design work for the island’s harbor project had been completed.

Muli is the last destination of the President’s ongoing tour of five islands in Meemu Atoll. He will conclude the tour and return to Male’ City on Monday.
