Man dies after getting trapped between two boats

An individual died on Tuesday, after getting trapped between two boats near M. Kolhufushi.

A police spokesperson said the incident took place when two boats stopped next to each other off the coast of M. Kolhufushi.

Police received report of a person getting trapped between the two boats at 04:41 pm, said the spokesperson.

Police identified the individual as a Maldivian man.

Doctors report he was already deceased when taken to Muli Regional Hospital, said the police spokesperson.

The police are looking into the incident.
