President and First Lady return after unofficial Singapore trip

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed returned to Maldives on Sunday night, after concluding an unofficial visit to Singapore.

The first couple had left for Singapore on April 14.

President Solih had recently travelled to Singapore for a thyroidectomy. He left for Singapore on February 23 and underwent surgery on February 25.

Vice President Faisal Naseem had taken over the President’s responsibilities while he had been undergoing the surgery.

He had returned to Maldives on March 6.
