ADK honors ‘covid heroes’ in special ceremony

ADK Hospital on Wednesday organized an event to honour the work done by “covid heroes” to overcome the situation of COVID-19 in Maldives.

The Director-General of Health Protection Agency (HPA) Maimoona Aboobakuru and Senior Medical Officer of HPA and the Spokesperson of the Health Emergency Center Dr Fathimath Nazla Rafeeq were in attendance.

Certificates of recognition were handed over to covid heroes – ADK’s staff and volunteers - by Maimoona, Dr Nazla and ADK’s Managing Director Ahmed Afaal.

Speaking at this ceremony, Senior Consultant at ADK and HOD of Pediatrics and Neonatology and Chief Medical Officer Dr Abdulla Niyaf noted the difficulties faced when the epidemic struck. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone in the hospital for their effort and contribution during that period.

Maimoona, who also addressed the gathering thanked staff and volunteers for working together to overcome the pandemic.
