Male’ City Council decides against holding night market over time constrains

Male’ City Council has decided against holding ‘City Night Market’ scheduled to take place ahead of the upcoming month of Ramadan, over time constraints.

The decision against holding the night market was announced via a tweet on Monday. 

The Council has previously stated that the purpose of the 10-day night market is to provide a platform for the public to make purchases required for the month of Ramadan at cheap prices.

Another purpose of the night market as stated by the Council is to provide assistance for small and medium businesses.

Whilst the City Council has decided against holding the night market – Future Private Limited had been appointed the co-organizer of the event.
