COVID-19: Maldives record 517 new cases

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Saturday, announced 517 additional cases of COVID-19.

According to HPA, cases include; 63 cases from the greater Male’ region, 382 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 44 cases from operational resorts.

With this, the total number of cases in Maldives has now increased to 169,148.

Meanwhile, 660additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 153,628. 

With the new developments, Maldives now has 15,211 active cases.      

There are 14 patients in hospitals.      

In the last 24-hours, 2,842 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours, including 537 samples from the greater Male' region.

February 24: 628 cases 

February 23: 971 cases 

February 22: 796 cases 

February 21: 656 cases 

February 20:  844 cases 

Maldives has recorded 296 COVID-19 deaths.
