Arrangements have been made for Indian nationals arriving in the Maldives for business purposes to be granted visa-free access to the country.

In a statement released by the Foreign Ministry today, they said that Indian nationals arriving in Maldives for business purposes will be granted visa-free entry for a period that does not exceed 90 days effective of February 1.

As per the Ministry, this is in line with the Agreement on the Facilitation of Visa Arrangements between the Government of Maldives and the Government of India signed December 17, 2018.

The arrangement will allow a multiple entries, non-resident, business visa for Indian Nationals for a period of 90 days within 6 months.

Any Indian National with an approved business visa is eligible to renew their visa up to 180 days within a calendar year. This is in addition to the visa-free period of 90 days stipulated in the bilateral agreement.
