Pakistan Prime Minister wish President Solih a speedy recovery from COVID-19

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has wished President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih a speedy recovery from COVID-19.

Via a tweet today, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he was concerned to hear the news of President Solih testing positive for COVID-19.

“Concerned to hear that the President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih tested Covid positive. My prayers for your speedy recovery and good health,” the tweet read.

In response to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s message, President Solih had thanked him for his kind prayers and well wishes.

President Solih, announced via tweeter on Saturday, that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

He detailed that he learnt he had contracted COVID-19 when that he underwent testing on Friday night in preparation of embarking on a tour of the atolls. 

Noting that he was currently in home isolation, President Solih said that he was doing well by the Grace of Almighty Allah.

Maldives is currently battling a surge in COVID-19 cases, fueled by the new and more contagious omicron variant.
