President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has returned to Male’ City last night – after concluding an official trip to six islands in the Alifu Alifu Atoll.
The six islands President Solih had visited in this regard are: Thoddoo, Rasdhoo, Ukulhas, Mathiveri, Bodufolhudhoo and Himandhoo. During his visit – President Solih held meetings with the council and the Woman’s Development Committees of each island. He also met with Alifu Alifu Atoll Council.
In addition to this – President Solih also held discussions with major stakeholders from the islands of Alifu Alifu Atoll including residents, business owners, guesthouse owners, and farmers.
President Solih also toured the sites of ongoing government projects in these islands and inspected its progress. He also visited key landmarks on each island including hospitals, health centers, schools, and farmlands.
At Thoddoo – President Solih had also inaugurated the new multi-purpose hall and 12 new classrooms at the local school.
During his trip to Bodufolhudhoo – he had officially inaugurated the newly-built mosque on the island.
At his last destination – which was Himandhoo – President Solih had inaugurated the island’s new harbor.
President Solih was accompanied by a delegation of cabinet ministers and senior government officials during this trip.
