Health authorities have lifted monitoring measures at Fuvahmulah City after three long months.
Fuvahmulah City was placed under monitoring on May 6.
Member of Fuvahmulah Council Ibrahim Mohamed had told Sun that while monitoring measures have been lifted on the island – they would continue to enforce some safety measures as if it were the worst-case scenario.
Accordingly, the Council will see to that residents of the islands adhere to strict social distancing measures recommended by the Health Protection Agency.
“A lot of easements have been given in the City – but the Council will continue to monitor the situation on the island as before. We will see to it that residents are in compliance with the social distancing measures – as if they did before. Activities such as sports will be allowed after considering these things,” Ibrahim Mohamed had said.
At present, Fuvahmulah City has 44 active cases.
