COVID-19 patient at Fuvahmulah dies, marking 222nd death

A COVID-19 patient brought to Gn. Fuvahmulah Atoll Hospital at 09:00 this morning was declared dead on arrival.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) identified the latest COVID-19 fatality in the Maldives as a 94-year-old Maldivian male.

His death increased the number of COVID-19 fatalities in the Maldives to 222.

This is the first COVID-19 fatality recorded this month.

As of yesterday, Maldives has recorded a total of 77,633 COVID-19 cases – out of which 74,928 patients have successfully recovered. Currently, there are 2,472 active cases.
