COVID-19: 141 new cases, 22 from Male' area

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Wednesday, announced 141 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 77,094.

According to HPA, the 141 new cases include; 22 cases from the greater Male’ region, 98 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 20 cases from operational resorts and one case from industrial/island used for other purposes.

Meanwhile, 225 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 74,335.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 2,527 active cases.

There are 14 patients in hospitals.

5,152 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

Maldives has recorded 220 COVID-19 deaths.
