Foreign Minister, President-elect of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly Abdulla Shahid has departed to Bulgaria on an official visit.
Minister Shahid departed to Bulgaria last night. During this visit, he is scheduled to meet with Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Svetlan Hristov Stoev where they will discuss bilateral relations and explore avenues for cooperation to fortify the existing relations between the countries.
Additionally, Minister Shahid is also set to meet Bulgaria’s Tourism Minister and other senior government officials – to explore opportunities to enhance cooperation in various sectors between the two countries.
Minister Shahid will also outline his vision for his Presidency of Hope and discuss his priorities for the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly during these meetings.
Minister Shahid has departed to Bulgaria just two days after his return from an official visit to India. He had returned back to Maldives last Saturday.
