Maldives records additional 92 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Monday, announced 92 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 76,546.

According to HPA, the 92 new cases include; 21 cases from the greater Male’ region, 48 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 18 cases from operational resorts and five cases from industrial/islands used for other purposes.

Meanwhile, 73 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 76,546.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 2,606 active cases.

There are 11 patients in hospitals.

5,490 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

July 17: 80 cases 

Maldives has recorded 218 COVID-19 deaths.
