COVID-19: 73 new cases, 14 from Male' area

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Saturday, announced 73 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 75,405.

According to HPA, the 73 new cases include; 14 cases from the greater Male’ region, 46 cases from residential islands outside Male’, nine cases from operational resorts, three cases from a liveaboard and one case from islands under development.

Meanwhile, 109 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 72,678. 

With the new developments, Maldives now has 2,537 active cases.

There are 16 patients in hospitals.

6,715 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

July 8:  124 cases

Maldives has recorded 214 COVID-19 deaths.
