COVID-19: 143 new COVID-19 cases reported in 24 hours

Health Protection Agency (HPA), has announced 143 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 74,074. 

The 143 new cases include; 26 cases from the greater Male’ area, 104 cases from inhabited islands outside of Male’, eight from operational resorts, and five cases from islands under development.

Meanwhile, 165 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 70,490.  

With the new developments, the Maldives now has 3,359 active cases.

There are 23 patients in hospitals.  

4,355 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

  • June 29: 278 cases
  • June 28: 155 cases
  • June 27: 233 cases
  • June 26: 150 cases

The Maldives has recorded 213 COVID-19 deaths.
