Maldives records additional 133 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Health Protection Agency (HPA), has announced 133 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 73,931. 

The 133 new cases include; 43 cases from the greater Male’ area, 72 cases from inhabited islands outside of Male’, 13 from operational resorts, and five cases from islands under development.

Meanwhile, 351 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 70,325.  

With the new developments, the Maldives now has 3,381 active cases.

There are 24 patients in hospitals.  

5,221 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

  • July 1: 133 cases
  • June 30: 138 cases
  • June 29: 278 cases
  • June 28: 155 cases
  • June 27: 233 cases
  • June 26: 150 cases
  • June 25: 266 cases

The Maldives has recorded 213 COVID-19 deaths.
