COVID-19: 150 new cases, 30 from Male’ area

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Saturday, announced 150 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 73,094.

According to HPA, the 150 new cases include; 30 cases from the greater Male’ region, 101 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 17 cases from operational resorts, and 2 cases from liveaboards.

Meanwhile, 377 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 68,806.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 4,067 active cases.

There are 30 patients in hospitals.

5,763 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

With the 150 new infections this Saturday, 1,385 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.

June 26: 150 cases

June 25: 266 cases

June 24: 212 cases

June 23: 172 cases

June 22: 145 cases

June 21: 253 cases

June 20: 187 cases

Maldives has recorded 209 COVID-19 deaths.
