Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Thursday, announced 212 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 72,678.
According to HPA, the 212 new cases include; 52 cases from the greater Male’ region, 157 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 2 cases from operational resorts, and 1 case from industrial/island used for other purposes.
Meanwhile, 311additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 68,197.
With the new developments, Maldives now has 4,262 active cases.
There are 38 patients in hospitals.
4,959 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.
With the 212 new infections this Thursday, 1,322 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.
